FreeCodeCamp Manchester
Hello world! Welcome to FCC Mcr - the Manchester branch of FreeCodeCamp, an open source community that helps you learn to code through self paced coding challenges and projects. We're one of over 1000 FreeCodeCamp Local Groups worldwide. Our mission is to bring together the FreeCodeCamp community in Manchester and the surrounding areas to provide friendly support and inspiration. We get together weekly at our Meetup in the city centre and through our active slack chat group.
It's totally free to join us. Join our Facebook group or our Slack chat channel to join the discussion and access announcements.
Meetups
We meet every Wednesday at Spaceport X in the city centre between 6pm and 9pm. We post events each week on our Facebook group but feel free to just drop in. Usually one of us will be at the door until 6:20ish, if you arrive later just drop us a message on the Facebook event or our Slack chat channel and someone will let you in.
About
Our meets are informal and fairly free flowing evenings for coders and learners of all levels to get together for pair programming, mentoring, chat, advice, showing off, and general solidarity. People come to chat, get code reviews, help, advice, pair code or just sit in a quiet(ish) environment and work on FreeCodeCamp or personal projects.
There are no skill level requirements so you're welcome to just drop in and test the waters.
